The next Need to Know Seminar takes place on Tuesday 25th September 2007 and will look at Business Sales and Acquisitions.

This series of quarterly breakfast seminars is designed to give those involved in corporate finance ongoing training on the legal side of corporate finance transactions.

This seminar will focus on Business Sales and Acquisitions. Our three speakers will cover:
  • Corporate Issues – Rick Smyth, Partner - Corporate Finance & Transactions
  • Commercial Contract and Intellectual Property Issues – Dale Williams, Solicitor - Commerce & Technology
  • Employment Issues, TUPE and its ramifications – Kimbra Green, Solicitor - Employment Law
The aim is to give our corporate finance colleagues a better understanding of the legal process and documentation involved in some of the more common transactions.

We have called this series of talks "Need to Know" seminars as they are aimed to provide an overview of the legal process – looking at some of the more common technical issues and documents – but without being “overkill” in terms of detail.

They will be held over a networking breakfast so as not to interrupt peoples’ working day. It will begin with tea/coffee and bacon sandwiches at 8.00am, presentations followed by questions at 8.25am and concluded by 9.45am.

We hope that it will prove to be a useful addition to your ongoing professional development and will have something to offer to both young bucks and silver foxes alike. The talks will count towards continuing professional development points for professionals.

Please note, there is no charge for attending.
