The next Business Advisors Club breakfast seminar takes place on Tuesday 23 March 2010
Historically more businesses go ‘bust’ coming out of a recession than in the midst of a recession.
Hopefully 2010 will be the beginning of the climb out of the recession for UK Plc; but just what impact will this have on business survival rates.
At the next Business Advisors Club, we will be looking at the issue of business rescue and survival via the use of Pre-packs and other means.
Pre-packs themselves have come under particular criticism recently.
Lord Kirkham, Chairman of DFS, recently said:
“these shameful devices give badly managed business a huge cost advantage….. I cannot get my head around why such incompetence should be rewarded at the expense of successful companies”.
With 993 Pre-packs in the first three quarters of 2009 however Lord Kirkham’s views are clearly not shared by professionals and many clients.
At the next Business Advisors Club we will be looking at:
- What should Directors be doing when their company is in financial difficulty?
- What are the current trends and opportunities for rescue?
- How can advisors help clients preserve their investment and personal wealth in their business?
This seminar will be held at the Rose Rooms, Belmont Hotel, De Montfort Street, Leicester LE1 7GR. It will start with registration and breakfast at 7.45am and we shall aim to conclude with a question and answer session by 9.30am.
There is no charge for attending.
