The fastest growing age group in the UK are those aged 80 years and over who currently constitute over 4% of the population of the UK increasing by over 1.1 million between 1981 and 2007.
(Office for National Statistics)
At Harvey Ingram, we have a team of specialist lawyers who deal with issues surrounding the elderly including wills, powers of attorney, care funding, and mental capacity issues.
The last thing anyone who deals with the elderly and vulnerable needs are disputes over the persons finances or, after they have died, over their estate. Increasingly disgruntled or unscrupulous family members or supposed friends are seeking to influence the very people who need the most protection.
At this seminar we will consider the processes and procedures associated with the OPG as well as key trigger points for financial abuse and undue influence on the elderly and vulnerable within society.
The seminar will be held on the 25th February 2009 at the Lineker Suite, Walkers Stadium, Filbert Way, Leicester. The seminar will start at 3pm with registration and refreshments, followed by the formal presentations. There will be an opportunity for questions and answers, and the seminar will conclude with drinks and a light buffet by 6.30pm.
