Peter Jennings, partner and head of Intellectual Property will look at what clients can do if a competitor copies their products; and how clients can be affected if they sell products which are protected by other's patents and copyright. He will also bring us up to speed with a couple of legal issues connected with growth of the internet; specifically the reluctance of Google to take down defamatory postings and the use of other people's trademarks as Google Adwords.
Sean Moran, partner and head of Corporate Recovery & Insolvency will look at the effect fraud has on businesses, particularly in the current economic downturn and focus on the duties and responsibilities of directors and the rights of creditors of insolvent companies when fraud has taken place.
