Dispute Resolution

Most construction projects are completed without serious dispute. However, sadly, this is not always the case. We are frequently asked to advise and represent out clients in resolving disputes, both those arising during the design and construction process, and those arising from events, post completion of the project.

We have considerable experience in representing clients, and their insurers, in all forms of dispute resolution process, whether that be the more traditional forms such as litigation and arbitration or more modern processes such as adjudication.

We aim to provide clients with early cost effective advice on the merits of their position, enabling them to make informed decisions at an early date on how they would like to resolve the dispute. We promote the use of negotiated settlements, and are supporters of all forms of alternative dispute resolution such as independent mediation.

In the event that it is necessary to resolve a dispute by use of court proceedings, then we are backed by the resources of the largest dispute resolution team in the region, enabling us to represent our clients’ interests in the courts throughout England and Wales.
