Designs
Product design is a key ingredient of the success of creative companies. Protection of those designs is fundamental to achieving a proper return on that investment.
UK design law is complex, involving the interaction of registered designs, unregistered designs and copyright. We advise clients on all aspects of the legal protection of the design of products, their packaging and their point of sale display material. We also advise on the interaction between brand strategy and product design.
We have experience of resolving disputes in the High Court, the Patents County Court and through alternative dispute resolution involving both UK and Community registered and unregistered designs in most design sectors such as clothing, footwear, jewellery, giftware, toys, furniture, industrial components and spare parts.
