Freedom of Information

Public authorities need to understand the implications of the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

We have a team of legal specialists, including one former local authority in-house lawyer with an in depth knowledge of all aspects of the Freedom of Information Act and its application to the public sector.

We have advised several public authorities on Freedom of Information Act applications made against them and advised on the application of relevant exemptions; the drafting of contractual clauses to secure co-operation of commercial contractors to support public authority obligations and advising and providing training programmes to implement Freedom of Information Act procedures.
