Birmingham corporate specialist appointed partner
Release date: 20/5/2009
Harvey Ingram expands management team of its Birmingham offices at Edmund House, with promotion to partner of corporate specialist Heidi Hendon.
Heidi has a wealth of experience and a proven track record having worked on a broad spectrum of corporate deals including mergers and acquisitions, private equity and shareholder agreements, joint ventures and reorganisations.
She says: "I am delighted and a little flattered to be made a partner. The Edmund House team already has an enviable reputation among Birmingham's professional community and I am excited about this superb opportunity. The appeal for me lies in the firm's no nonsense vision, which within the space of a couple of years, has created a clear niche in the city providing top-rate legal services to mid-market owner-managed businesses, management teams, venture capitalists and banks."
Rick Smyth, managing partner of Edmund House, says: "I am delighted Heidi has accepted the appointment – it's fully deserved and very good news. It will help strengthen our position in these challenging times, as we look to further expand our offering from Birmingham.”
Despite the economic turbulence of the past 18 months, Harvey Ingram's Birmingham team has continued consistently to grow its client base, completing and advising on 40 complex corporate transactions, with a total value of more than £200million. Among the recent deals was a major investment in Shropshire practice The Dental Spa, led by Heidi Hendon, acting on behalf of Sol Capital.
