Harvey Ingram appointed regional co-ordinator of Solicitors for the Elderly

National association Solicitors for the Elderly has appointed Harvey Ingram legal executive Karon Walton, as its East Midlands regional co-ordinator.
SFE is an association of lawyers specialising in legal services for older people. Members have a wealth of experience within this key legal area and are required to have spent a substantial amount of time working for elderly clients. The aim of the national association is to improve the knowledge and service provided for older people and their carers on legal issues including tax planning, wills, powers of attorney, retirement issues, long-term social and health care.
Karon Walton will be responsible for running the SFE's regional branch, covering Leicestershire, Bedfordshire and Northamptonshire. Her role will involve holding meetings with fellow SFE members to discuss issues in the field of elderly client law and organising training sessions delivered by critical experts in the field. She will be the main point of contact with the national group ensuring that information is shared among members. Karon will also act as the SFE's regional ambassador, making contact with appropriate organisations to raise awareness of elderly client issues and also be a key point of contact for legal advice in this area.
