Harvey Ingram helps Chapco surf the Next Wave of investment to go on acquisition trail
Release date: 6/9/2010
Business services provider Chapco secured a £5million investment from financier Next Wave Partners, before immediately going on the acquisition trail and snapping up Scottish competitor 24Seven.
It directly follows on from last year's purchase of Bedfordshire telecommunications provider Globe Worldwide.
All three deals were overseen by Lisa Botterill, an associate and corporate specialist.
She says: "These three timely, strategic and very sizeable transactions will see Chapco continue to strengthen its strong position and maintain a dominant share in an increasingly competitive market place. These deals typify the type of work Harvey Ingram's corporate team excels at. We're delighted to again be part of the latest chapter in Chapco's on-going success story."
Chapco chief executive Richard Chapman says: "We are all delighted with the acquisition of 24Seven as part of our strategy to develop Chapco as a nationwide facilities management business supporting Blue Chip clients. We will harness the best of both Chapco and 24Seven to take our service to higher and more efficient levels. This is great news for all of our existing clients".
Scottish firm 24Seven is recognised as being among the UK's top providers of integrated property management and building maintenance services throughout the retail, healthcare and leisure sectors. It was founded in 2002 by brothers Kerr and Colin Wilson and also includes 1A Emergency services, a building maintenance provider operating throughout Scotland's domestic and commercial markets.
