Harvey Ingram helps Vision Express set its sights on ambitious expansion

Midlands' law firm Harvey Ingram helped pave the way for an ambitious 75-store expansion by national optician Vision Express.
The company has acquired 100-year-old family-owned firm GC Bateman Group (Bateman's Opticians), for an undisclosed sum.
The deal was overseen by a team of Harvey Ingram's specialist corporate, retail and employment lawyers. They were led by head of the firm's corporate team Roy Botterill and Richard Miller, who heads the retail team.

As a result, the Vision Express' portfolio now tops 300 outlets.

Vision Express' chief executive Bryan Magrath said: "This is a major step in the growth of Vision Express. It not only shows our strength and position within the market but also demonstrates our intent to invest in brands with the same vision and values in order to grow our business."

Harvey Ingram partner Roy Botterill said: "We were delighted to be able to help Vision Express with this key, strategic expansion.
