Harvey Ingram paves the way for IFA buyout

Leicestershire independent financial adviser Maplelord has been bought by Nottingham-based IFA Four Corners, in a deal overseen by Midlands’ law firm Harvey Ingram.

Maplelord has already established a solid customer base in some of the region's most prosperous areas with outlets in Market Harborough, Kibworth and Melton. The acquisition will see all but one of Maplelord's team of advisers and staff transferred to Four Corners.

Maplelord managing director Trevor Harrington said: "The acquisition of IFAs is a notoriously complex area, but I am delighted with the way by which Harvey Ingram concluded the negotiations."

The deal was overseen by specialist Harvey Ingram corporate lawyers Roy Botterill and Rosie Prabhakar.

Roy Botterill, head of the firm's corporate team, said: "The sale of IFAs requires an in-depth specialist knowledge and understanding of the finance industry and business structures. But it's an area we specialise in and we are delighted with the way this deal was completed."
